Below Ann’s article is my post about the Giraffe being our Totem of the Kabbalah. Also here’s a recent picture of me with some Giraffe friends who have lived at Whole Foods for 10 years.
I immediately took notice of this article by: Ann Medlock, since we have named the Giraffe as the Totem of the Reconstructed Kabbalah!

Today, we’re going to have a little fun with our inner child. Miri and I have always loved giraffes. We have several rubber stamps of them. We didn’t have any idea what it is about giraffes until a little while ago. I was looking at the 4 little stuffed animal giraffes that I had bought before I moved here. I’ve had them for a number of years. I brought 5 of these little giraffes from the District of Columbia. I have given 2 of them away. These are 2 that I have left, that are being our Keter Velveteen model Totem Giraffes.
I have a little tree of life with stuffed animals in it. I thought of it as the tree of life. I put a giraffe next to the tree, and realized that even though the tree was out of proportion with the giraffe, the Totem for Keter would be the giraffe!

Miri and I drew a Tree of Life for 2 of the giraffes, and you can see that they are able to eat from the top branches down to the lower branches also of the Kabbalah Tree of Life!
